Privacy policy
Last updated 25 August 2026 · Applies to the Celestrike iOS app and celestrike.com
Celestrike has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics SDK. Your game save stays on your device. The short version of this page is: we do not collect your personal data, and there is nothing on our side to delete.
Who this is from
Celestrike is made and published by an independent developer. Contact for any privacy question: privacy@celestrike.com.
What the app stores
Everything the game knows about you is written to local storage on your own device and is never transmitted to us. That is:
- Your fleet — orbital elements, remaining delta-v and subsystem health for each platform.
- Which ground sites you have discovered and tasked, and the intel accrued against them.
- Game settings and progress flags.
This data has no identifier attached to it and never leaves the device. Deleting the app deletes it. There is no cloud save in this version, which also means there is no way for us to recover a save you have deleted.
What the app does not do
- No account, email address, name or login of any kind.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifier (IDFA) is requested.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting or attribution SDK.
- No location access, no contacts, no photos, no microphone, no camera.
- No data is sold or shared with data brokers. Ever.
The optional purchase
The game is free and nothing is gated. There is one optional supporter purchase, handled through Apple's In-App Purchase system and managed with RevenueCat, which we use to verify the receipt and remember that you own it.
If — and only if — you make that purchase, RevenueCat processes a randomly generated anonymous app user ID, the purchase receipt issued by Apple, and basic device and app information such as platform, app version and country. That identifier is not linked to your name or email, and we never see your payment details: Apple handles the payment, and we receive no card information at any point. Apple's own handling of the transaction is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
If you never make the purchase, no purchase data is created and nothing is sent.
This website
celestrike.com is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no tracking pixels. Two things are worth stating plainly:
- Cloudflare processes your IP address in order to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse, and keeps short-lived security and performance logs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts serves the Inter typeface used across the site, which means
your browser requests a file from
fonts.gstatic.comand Google receives your IP address as part of that request. See Google's privacy policy.
If you email us, we receive whatever you put in the email and keep it only as long as it takes to answer you.
Children
Celestrike is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing held about a child to request the deletion of.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and comparable laws you have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. We hold none, so in practice there is nothing to disclose or erase on our side. Your in-game data is deleted by deleting the app. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat can be addressed to those companies directly, or raised with us at privacy@celestrike.com and we will help.
Changes
If a future version of the game adds anything that changes this — cloud saves, accounts, or a multiplayer world — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. We will not quietly start collecting data under an old policy.
